Resolution criteria on PolyGram: This market will resolve to "Yes" if Databricks' private market valuation, as measured by the NPM Price reported by Nasdaq Private Market, LLC (NPM) for any date between market creation and December 31, 2026, reaches or exceeds the listed amount. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". NPM Prices are published for trading days only and are updated once daily at 1:00 PM ET on the following calendar day. If NPM has not published relevant data for all business dates in the specified period by 1:00 PM ET on January 1, 2027, this market may remain open until 11:59 PM ET on January 4, 2027. If no further data is released by that time, the market will resolve according to the data available.
PolyGram is an on-chain prediction market where you trade YES or NO outcome shares with real USDC on Polygon. For this market, buy YES if you believe the event will happen, or NO if you think it won't. Your maximum loss is your stake — winning shares pay $1.00 each at resolution. Unlike sportsbooks, there is no house edge: prices are set by supply and demand from other traders and reflect the crowd's real-time probability.

Databricks' private valuation will need to reach a specified threshold by year-end 2026 for this market to resolve affirmatively. The company's valuation is tracked through Nasdaq Private Market's daily NPM Price, which reflects secondary market transactions amongst accredited investors. The 16% implied probability on Polymarket's current order book reflects substantial scepticism about achieving this target within the settlement window.
Private software companies valued above $10 billion have historically required either significant new funding rounds, major revenue acceleration, or acquisition activity to materially shift valuations upward. Databricks last raised capital at a $43 billion valuation in September 2024, representing a substantial jump from its prior $28 billion round in 2023. The trajectory of recent rounds suggests the market has already priced in considerable growth expectations. Comparable cases like Stripe and Canva saw extended periods between major valuation increases, with secondary market prices often lagging primary round valuations by months or quarters.
Traders should monitor announcements regarding new funding rounds, which would be the primary catalyst for valuation movement. Databricks' product roadmap updates and quarterly revenue disclosures—typically shared with investors rather than publicly—will influence secondary market sentiment. The company's stated focus on its data and AI platform, combined with enterprise adoption trends in the data analytics sector, will shape investor appetite for secondary shares. Any acquisition interest or IPO signals would represent tail-risk catalysts, though no such announcements have been reported as of late 2024.
This market settles from the official outcome published at https://fe.secondmarket.com/companies/company-53787f17-a704-47a9-895a-cb54833bdb1f/data?return_url=https://polymarket.com/finance/privates. A proposer submits the final result to the UMA optimistic oracle on Polygon; the two-hour dispute window closes and payouts clear in USDC.
The mechanics for trading "Will Databricks' valuation hit 2027 by December 31?" are the same as any other PolyGram event contract. Each YES share resolves to $1 if the event happens, or $0 if it doesn't. The current price between 0¢ and 100¢ is the market's probability estimate, set live by the order book.
$21K in lifetime turnover and $8K of resting liquidity puts this market in the around the median by volume for privates contracts on PolyGram. Order-book depth is thin — large orders may need to be split across the book or executed as limit orders.
Last 24 hours alone saw $50 in turnover, consistent with the market's lifetime daily-average pace.
The market has been open for under a month — fresh enough that information asymmetry remains a real factor.
Higher-volume markets tend to have tighter spreads and faster price discovery — meaning the displayed YES/NO percentages are more likely to reflect the true crowd-implied probability rather than a single trader's directional view.
