Market context

Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida and Franco Roncadelli are scheduled to meet in a tennis match at Santos on 9 May 2026 at 12:30 PM ET. The Polymarket order book currently reflects a 0% implied probability for Pucinelli de Almeida's victory, suggesting the market has priced him as a heavy underdog or that insufficient liquidity exists to establish a meaningful spread. Settlement occurs on 16 May 2026, allowing a seven-day window for match completion; any cancellation, tie, or delay beyond that threshold triggers a 50-50 resolution.

Both players operate at the lower rungs of professional tennis, competing primarily on the ATP Challenger and ITF circuits. Pucinelli de Almeida, a Brazilian player, has shown inconsistent form across regional tournaments, whilst Roncadelli's recent match history and ranking trajectory remain relevant indicators of relative strength. Historical patterns in lower-tier professional matches show significant volatility in outcomes, with unseeded or lower-ranked players frequently producing upsets. The current 0% probability likely reflects either a substantial ranking or recent performance differential, or minimal trading activity establishing a floor price.

Traders should monitor official ATP and ITF tournament draws for confirmation of the match fixture and any scheduling changes. Weather conditions in Santos during May and player injury announcements in the days preceding the match represent material catalysts. Recent form indicators—including head-to-head records, surface preference alignment, and tournament results from April and early May 2026—will sharpen probability estimates as the match date approaches.

How to trade this market step by step

The mechanics for trading "Santos: Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida vs Franco Roncadelli" are the same as any other PolyGram event contract. Each YES share resolves to $1 if the event happens, or $0 if it doesn't. The current price between 0¢ and 100¢ is the market's probability estimate, set live by the order book.

  1. Sign in on polygram.ink with your email — no full KYC under $1,500 lifetime trading volume.
  2. Deposit USDC on Polygon (lowest fees, ~$0.01 per transaction) or Ethereum. Funds credit after 12 confirmations.
  3. Pick a side. Buy YES if you believe the event will happen; buy NO if you think it won't. The current YES price reflects the market's collective probability.

How active is this market?

$33K in lifetime turnover and $0 of resting liquidity puts this market in the around the median by volume for tennis contracts on PolyGram. Order-book depth is thin — large orders may need to be split across the book or executed as limit orders.

The market has been open for under a month — fresh enough that information asymmetry remains a real factor.

Higher-volume markets tend to have tighter spreads and faster price discovery — meaning the displayed YES/NO percentages are more likely to reflect the true crowd-implied probability rather than a single trader's directional view.

Risk and regulatory note

Prediction-market positions can lose 100% of staked capital. Outcomes are uncertain by definition — historical accuracy of crowd-implied probabilities is high in aggregate but not for any single market. PolyGram does not provide investment advice. Trade only with capital you can afford to lose.

Regulatory status varies by jurisdiction. Germany, the United States, and most EU countries treat Polymarket-style event contracts under one of three frameworks: financial derivative, gambling product, or unregulated novel asset. Consult local counsel before trading.
