Resolution criteria on PolyGram: This market will resolve to “Yes” if edgeX officially launches a governance token by 11:59 PM ET on the date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. The token must be actively and publicly transferable and tradable. Announcements alone do not qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be information from edgeX , however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
PolyGram is an on-chain prediction market where you trade YES or NO outcome shares with real USDC on Polygon. For this market, buy YES if you believe the event will happen, or NO if you think it won't. Your maximum loss is your stake — winning shares pay $1.00 each at resolution. Unlike sportsbooks, there is no house edge: prices are set by supply and demand from other traders and reflect the crowd's real-time probability.

EdgeX, a decentralised exchange platform, faces a deadline to launch an actively tradable governance token by the end of 2026. The market is currently pricing this outcome at 100% probability on Polymarket's order book, reflecting strong conviction amongst traders that a token launch will occur within the settlement window. This extreme confidence suggests either substantial pre-existing commitments from the project or market participants viewing tokenisation as inevitable for a platform of EdgeX's profile and maturity stage.
Comparable decentralised finance projects have typically launched governance tokens within 18–36 months of achieving meaningful product-market fit and user adoption. Uniswap, Aave, and Curve all introduced tokens after establishing themselves as essential infrastructure, often following periods of community demand and competitive pressure. EdgeX's current 100% implied probability aligns with this pattern—established DEX platforms have near-universally tokenised, making non-launch by end-2026 the exceptional scenario rather than the baseline.
Traders should monitor EdgeX's official communications, regulatory filings, and development roadmaps for concrete token mechanics announcements. Recent industry developments, including regulatory clarity around governance tokens in multiple jurisdictions, have reduced friction for such launches. The critical catalyst will be EdgeX confirming token distribution mechanisms, launch timing, and exchange listings. Any material delays to the project's core product roadmap or adverse regulatory signals could shift market pricing, though the current 100% reading suggests the market has already priced in substantial execution risk mitigation.
Resolution is handled by the UMA optimistic oracle on Polygon. A proposer submits the outcome, a two-hour dispute window opens, and if no one stakes a counter-claim the payout is final. Contested outcomes escalate to UMA token-holder voting. Payouts clear in USDC to the winning side.
The mechanics for trading "Will edgeX launch a token by ___?" are the same as any other PolyGram event contract. Each YES share resolves to $1 if the event happens, or $0 if it doesn't. The current price between 0¢ and 100¢ is the market's probability estimate, set live by the order book.
$758K in lifetime turnover and $0 of resting liquidity puts this market in the top 2% by volume for pre market contracts on PolyGram. Order-book depth is thin — large orders may need to be split across the book or executed as limit orders.
The market has been open for 4 months — the price has had time to stabilise as new information arrived.
Higher-volume markets tend to have tighter spreads and faster price discovery — meaning the displayed YES/NO percentages are more likely to reflect the true crowd-implied probability rather than a single trader's directional view.
