Resolution criteria on PolyGram: This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the HYPE/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the HYPE/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/futures/HYPEUSDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance HYPE/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
PolyGram is an on-chain prediction market where you trade YES or NO outcome shares with real USDC on Polygon. For this market, buy YES if you believe the event will happen, or NO if you think it won't. Your maximum loss is your stake — winning shares pay $1.00 each at resolution. Unlike sportsbooks, there is no house edge: prices are set by supply and demand from other traders and reflect the crowd's real-time probability.
Market outcomes
| HYPE Up or Down - May 16, 9AM ET | 50% YES | 50% NO |
This market tracks whether HYPE/USDT on Binance closes higher than or equal to its opening price during the one-hour candle beginning 16 May 2026 at 9:00 AM ET. The settlement window closes at 14:00 UTC that same day, with resolution determined by the finalised 1H candle data displayed on Binance's futures interface. The current order book on Polymarket reflects a 50-50 split between traders expecting upward or flat movement versus a decline, suggesting genuine uncertainty about intraday directional bias.
Hourly candle predictions on volatile assets typically centre on microstructure dynamics rather than fundamental shifts. Historical precedent shows that single-hour crypto candles resolve to "Up" roughly 48–52% of the time across major pairs, with outcomes heavily influenced by preceding volatility regimes and order flow clustering around round numbers. When implied probability sits at exactly 50%, it often signals that traders lack conviction based on available technical signals or that recent price action has been range-bound, leaving the candle's direction genuinely contingent on the first few minutes' momentum.
Traders should monitor HYPE's trading volume and volatility patterns in the days preceding 16 May, particularly any protocol updates, exchange listings, or broader crypto market movements that could establish directional bias before the settlement window. Recent cryptocurrency market behaviour has shown heightened sensitivity to macroeconomic data releases and regulatory announcements, which may create volatility spikes during the relevant hour. The pair's liquidity on Binance futures will determine how easily large orders can move price, potentially influencing whether the candle closes above or below its open.
